I'm trying to clean out my quest log in preparation of Wotlk.. and I have all of these Trial of
the Naaru quests I need to finish still.
1. Does anyone know if these quests will still be completeable/attainable after the release of
Wotlk?
2. Does anyone know if the title "Champion of the Naaru", your reward for beating all of the
trials, will still be attainable after Wotlk?
I don't know if I should rush to get the Trials complete and find a Mag & Gruul run or if I should
just wait to beat the trials later, at level 80 perhaps.
If you actually know the answer and are not just guessing, that would be super.
Thanks.
Afraikthe Hand of Adal title and the Champion of the Naaru one are being removed with the patch
before they nerf the bosses. My guess is you will still get the quests and rewards apart from
that, and I think you can still get the Scale of the Sands rings.
So yeah - if you want the title time to rush a few heroics and pwn Gruul
you can still get it
but not at level 71
It would make sense to me if they remove the title after wotlk. It wouldn't make sense to have the
title attainable as long as you are under level 71. To get geared to do the heroics in the first
place would put you over level 71 as you ran dungeons and raids for gear/badges. Plus, what if one
or all of your party members are over level 70? How would that affect things?
I bet the title will be gone and the quests will still be completable/attainable as long as you
meet the minimum level requirements currently in place.
You cant get the title after the patch
Yes what Xordo said. Tomorrow when 3.0 goes live all titles will be locked. meaning that you can
not get them even after doin the chain. So for anyone still sitting on the quests get em done now.
you have less than 10 hours to finish.
Wrong wrong wrong. The second 3.0 hits the title is no longer attainable.
you can stil get the titel ,even after path if you have started the questline before path.....
2 of my friends just got it yesterday
I am not sure where the cutoff is, but I can confirm that as long as you had the quests in your
log before the patch you can still obtain the titles. I saw people get "Champion of the Naaru" and
"Hand of A'dal" after the patch. Not sure of course what will happen after WotLK launches, but for
right now under certain circumstances you can still get those titles. I have a couple characters
at various stages of the quest line, but that had the quests in the log before the patch. When I
get them done I'll post what happens.
I've seen players get the title that had the quest in their log pre-patch. I've also seen players
who took the quest post-patch not get the title.
Somewhat stranger, i got it on my alt who as far as i remember didn't have the quest pre-patch. I
went to CoT a few hours before to get the quest, and then had another one (same title and
description) shared at the beginning of the raid. i only realized about that when giving back the
quest as i had a choice of two quests to give back the vials (same name and descriptions,
different gold reward). I gave back the one that gave the most gold 24gold and got the title.
It seems to me that Blizzard changed the quest to another with the same appearance but not giving
the title, however that does not work well if my alt really didn't have the quest bvefore that
morning. ie it would mean that the quest only got updated on one of the NPCs (since you can get it
from two NPCs).
i got the title yesterday 10/27 by completing the quest of the guy in SP. oO
It must be if you still had the quest in your log you are still able to get the title, because I
finally turned The Vials of Eternity in on one of my other characters last night and I got it. (I
had the quest in her log for many months.)
I've personnally seen a player get the achivement "Champion of the Naaru" in v3.0.2..
However, I don't know if it's possible in current v3.0.3 and doubt it will be possiblt after
thursday..
